Could the popular International Baccalaureate Program at Savannah-Chatham schools be a thing of the past?
That is exactly the topic of a meeting tonight at Islands High School. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.
With each budget discussion comes the fear that the IB Program may be cut.
The program has been on the chopping block a number of times, but has been spared every time.
The meeting will include a discussion about what the future holds for the IB program at Marshpoint Elementary and Coastal Middle School, an overview of academic outcomes and plans and schedules for construction and athletic projects at each district four school.
Some IB parents told WTOC they plan on attending the meeting to share their concerns and the positive impact this program has had on their children.
