The Technology Association of
Georgia is now accepting applications for the 2014 Top 40/Top 10 Innovative
Companies in Georgia. Companies from the Savannah area and
others from around the state are encouraged to apply.
"It's been a great year for our local technology sector,"
said Jerald Mitchell, director of Emerging Industry at the Savannah Economic
Development Authority, in a statement. "I am
hoping that we will be well represented among the state's Top 40
Innovative Companies with at least five or more
applicants from the Savannah area this year."
The Top 40 companies are selected on criteria including:
degree of innovation, scope and financial impact of innovation, likelihood of
success, and promotion of Georgia's innovative efforts nationally and
internationally. Eligible Georgia-based companies that focused on the
development and dissemination of technology are being considered.
Companies who make the Top 40 will be showcased in an
exhibition at the 2014 Georgia
Technology Summit. Top 10 companies will be asked
to present at the 2014 Georgia Technology Summit, which will be held March 26
at the Cobb Galleria Center. The summit is expected to draw a crowd of
