Port Royal Police seeks community's help to solve homicide

PORT ROYAL, SC (WTOC) -

The Port Royal Police Dept. is searching for the people responsible for murdering the owner of a local beauty supply store.

Autopsy results show the owner suffered a fatal brain injury caused by blunt force trauma.

Police are still waiting on lab and toxicology results in the murder of Aboulhassan Aboulhassan, but AN Beauty Supply remains closed following his death.

This is the first homicide in Port Royal in several years.

Officers responded to the store on Ribaut Road on Jan. 20 after a customer walked in and found Aboulhassan bleeding and unconscious behind the cash register.

Aboulhassan was taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital and then to MUSC where he later died from his injuries.

So far police have no suspects or motive in this murder.

They are hoping someone will come forward to help them solve this crime.

"It is an impact on Port Royal because this is something that we're not accustomed to. It doesn't happen a lot, right now we're depending greatly on our community," said Port Royal Police Lt. Andre Massey.

If you have any information about this case, please contact the Port Royal Police Department.
