Parents are finding a new way to keep their children active despite the cold.
Jump N Jack's fun center in Savannah was packed, and parents say it's a great way to get their children activity without taking them out in the cold.
Children can easily get sick in the cold weather. Experts recommend dressing children in layers and if you need to go outdoors in freezing temperatures, keep it to a limited time.
Parents say Jumping Jacks is a great way to keep their children moving, even when the weather is colder than normal.
"It's a good place to come because it's warm and we have had freezing cold temperature," said Jump N Jack's Theresa Fleming. "It is a good, family oriented place."
Here are a few tips to get prepared for the arctic blast headed our way:
If you have a working fireplace, make sure you have firewood.
You also want non-perishable food in case you lose power.
Emergency equipment such as generators and flashlights should be tested and ready for use.
Water for drinking and cooking should be collected in bottles in case your pipes freeze, and make sure to charge your mobile phone and other mobile device batteries.
