LIST: Winter weather closure updates

Hundreds of weather-related closures have been scheduled for this week. The following list is updated as we receive closure information into the newsroom.

In order to get your listings up quickly, DO NOT email us the exact same information over and over. It will only slows us down in getting the listings up. Instead, send us updates or changes to existing closures you have already sent.

UPDATES ON CLOSURES/OPENINGS FOR FRIDAY:

Charter stores, offices and service centers have resumed normal operating hours.

Wesley Community Centers of Savannah, Inc. and the Lady Bamford Early Child Care Center will be OPEN Friday.

All schools and administrative offices in the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System will be open Friday on their regular operating schedules. View bell schedule.

Montgomery County - Students and staff will return to school on the normal schedule on Friday. Busses will run their normal routes and schedules. Montgomery County Schools include Montgomery County HighSchool, Montgomery County Middle School, Montgomery County Elementary School, and Montgomery Academy.

The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center and VA's clinics in Hinesville, Goose Creek, Beaufort, Savannah and Myrtle Beach, and the Trident Annex will re-open on Friday, Jan. 31.  Patients should come to their appointments as scheduled on Friday.   Patients whose appointment was cancelled due to weather will be called to reschedule.  If you cannot wait to reschedule call the TAP line at 1-888-878-6884.  All non-essential VA employees should report to work today at 12:00 p.m.

UPDATES ON CLOSURES/OPENINGS FOR THURSDAY:

THIS IS A SCHOOL CANCELLATION UPDATE FROM THE SAVANNAH-CHATHAM COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM: Thursday - no school for students. 

There will be no school for students on Thursday. All staff will report at 10 a.m., with the exception of maintenance and custodial personnel who will report at their regular duty times. The school district will continue to monitor the weather situation very closely.

Sentry Savannah 2014 scheduled for Thursday has been rescheduled for Friday at 11 a.m.

Wells Fargo banks in Savannah open Thursday.

Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport open for business.

The job fair for the Georgia Ports Authority scheduled for Thursday has been postponed. Reschedule date TBA.

Savannah ODAR on Chatham Parkway (the Social Security Administration Disability Office) will have a delayed opening of 10 a.m. Thursday morning. 

Bethesda Academy will remain closed Thursday.

Mickee's Academy in Savannah will be closed Thursday.

Savannah Mall will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Management will continue to monitor the weather situation.

BB&T Bank's Savannah and Effingham branches will have a delayed open of 11 a.m.

Pryme Tyme will not be operating Thursday per the YMCA of Coastal Georgia's Chief Operating Officer.

Chatham and Effingham Head Start/Early Head Start Schools, Camden County Head Start & Early Head Start Clayton Head Start Glennville Head Start Liberty County Early Head Start & Head Start Long County Head Start McIntosh Head Start Wayne County Head Start closed to students. Staff needs to report at regular duty time.

Beaufort County School District schools currently plan to operate on a two-hour delay Thursday morning. District officials will continue to monitor weather and road conditions, and any changes in plans will be posted to the school district's website and relayed to parents and news media prior to 7 a.m. Thursday. 

Renee's Kids World will be closed on Thursday.

Calvary Day School will be closed Thursday for students and staff due to continued inclement weather. All after school activities will be cancelled as well.

Calvary's Daycare will also be closed Thursday to students and staff.

McIntosh County Schools will be closed on Thursday.

Greenbriar Children's Center- All staff to report at 10 a.m. W.W Law Learning Center and Windys Preschool will be closed for children; Staff are to report to work at 10 a.m.

The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, Visit Savannah and all Savannah Visitor Information Centers will open at noon.

The South University Savannah campus will have a delayed opening on Thursday. Administrative offices and classes will begin at 10 a.m.

Due to the weather conditions we are forced to reschedule the Sentry Savannah 2014 press conference. We will push it ahead one day and plan on meeting at the Combat Readiness Training Center on Friday at 11 a.m.

Grace Ashtin Christian School will be closed to students and all staff.

Totally Kids will be closed.

All Point University locations will be closed.

Wee Tots Academy will be closed.

New Beginnings Learning Center will be closed.

Bryan County schools will be closed for all students on Thursday.

Effingham County Schools will be delaying the start of school by two hours on Thursday due to road conditions.

Screven County schools will resume tomorrow at regular time.

Robert Toombs Christian Academy will be back to a normal school day and after school activities on Thursday. 

Savannah Country Day School has canceled school and all extracurricular activities and practices for Thursday. The Little School will also be closed.

Savannah Christian Preparatory School - closed.

Liberty County Schools will be closed for all students and staff on Thursday. Classes will resume on Friday when weather and road conditions are expected to improve.

Bulloch County Schools Superintendent Charles Wilson has decided to proceed with a normal school and after school schedule on Thursday.

Appling County schools will be closed Thursday for students and staff due to continued severe weather conditions. School will resume Friday.

Thomas Heyward Academy - Faculty & Staff should report to school at 9:45 a.m. Students should report at 10:00 a.m. to their homerooms. The normal daily schedule will start at that time with normal daily dismissals. Lunch will be served. After school activities with JV girls basketball game against Bible Baptist will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the T.H.A. gym. JV boys & varsity games will follow as scheduled. 

Bulloch Academy will resume school on Thursday. All students, faculty and staff members should report at the normal times. 

Lowcountry Day & Camp Lowcountry Day will open at  9 a.m. Thursday.

Hilton Head Christian Academy will operate on 2 hour delay in Thursday.

Long County schools closed Thursday for students and staff. 

All Glynn County Schools will resume on Thursday, with normal operating schedules for school start and end times, transportation, after-school programs and athletic activities.  School system staff will continue to communicate with emergency management officials to monitor weather conditions.  Staff will also monitor road conditions throughout Wednesday afternoon and evening and Thursday morning to ensure that routes remain safe for travel.

Royal Live Oaks Charter School will be closed Thursday. 

McIntosh County schools will be closed Thursday due to the icy weather conditions.

St. Vincent's Academy will be closed Thursday for all students, faculty and staff.

The Habersham School will be closed on Thursday for students and faculty/staff.

City of Beaufort - All city administrative offices will open for business at noon on Thursday.

Wayne County schools will be closed for all students and employees on Thursday due to possibilities of sleet or freezing rain in the early hours Thursday night. School will resume for all students and employees on Friday.

Abundant Life Academy in Hardeeville - closed.

Emanuel County Schools are canceled for students and staff Thursday. 

New Covenant Preschool - closed.

St. Paul Academy will be closed Thursday for students and staff.

The College of Coastal Georgia, including the Camden Center, will remain closed for business with all classes cancelled until noon Thursday.  The college will resume normal operations at noon on Jan. 30.  On Thursday, dining services will operate on a modified schedule The Mariner's Galley will be open from 9:30-10:30am for breakfast, at 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. for lunch, 2-4pm for late lunch and 5-8pm for dinner. The Dockside Deli locations in Camden and Brunswick will open at noon.

Savannah State University will reopen on Thursday. Staff and faculty should report by 9 a.m. Classes will begin at 10 a.m.

All health departments and public health facilities in Bryan, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long, and McIntosh counties will delay opening to the public until 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 30. Any clients who had appointments prior to 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, are asked to call the appropriate facility to reschedule.

Treutlen County schools will be closed Thursday for students and staff.

Montessori Academy of Savannah closed Thursday to students and staff.

Advance Academy at The Matthew Reardon Center for Autism will be closed Thursday.

Due to continued poor weather and road conditions, SCAD Savannah will remain closed Thursday. Normal university operations will resume as scheduled Friday, Jan. 31.

The Learning Treehouse in Rincon will be open at 8 a.m. Thursday. All parents, should call 912.826.2893 to hear more information.

Live Oak Public Libraries branches normally open on Thursday mornings will delay opening until noon on Thursday.

The following HS/EHS Centers will not have school for students on Thursday. Staff need to report to work at regular duty time.

Scheduling changes for YMCA of Coastal Georgia programs for Thursday:
Bryan County: YMCA facilities will open at 11 a.m. Fun Club has been canceled.
Chatham County:  YMCA facilities will open for business at 11 a.m. Day Care at our West Chatham Child Learning Center and the Habersham YMCA has been canceled, this includes Pre-K. There will be afternoon Fun Club at our West Chatham YMCA for Effingham County elementary students only. Pryme Tyme for Chatham County has been canceled.
Effingham County:  YMCA facilities will open at 11 a.m. There will be no day care or Pre-K held at our Effingham YMCA. Pryme Tyme After School Care and Fun Club will be open in Effingham County.
Glynn County: YMCA facilities will open at 11 a.m. Day Care at the Golden Isles YMCA has been canceled. This includes Pre-K.
Liberty County:  YMCA facilities will open at 11 a.m. Pryme Tyme has been canceled.
McIntosh County: YMCA facilities will open at 11 a.m. Pryme Tyme has been canceled.

Bible Baptist Christian Academy in Statesboro will be open on Thursday.

Ramah Jr. Academy will be closed Thursday for all students.

The Vidalia city schools will be open for school Thursday. Schools in the system are: J. D. Dickerson Primary, Sally D. Meadows Elementary, J. R. Trippe Middle School, and Vidalia High School.

The University of South Carolina Salkehatchie Campus located in Allendale and Walterboro will have a delayed opening on Thursday at 10 a.m.

Georgia Southern University will return to normal operations at 8 a.m. Thursday.

Armstrong Atlantic State University will resume classes and re-open business offices on Thursday, January 30 at 10 a.m. at the main campus in Savannah and at the Liberty Center in Hinesville.

Memorial Day School and Memorial Day Childcare Center - closed.

Hampton District One schools will be closed Thursday. Hampton County School District 2 will be closed Thursday.

Greater Expectations Learning Center in Hinesville, Georgia will be closed Thursday January 29th due to weather conditions. It will reopen Friday.

ABC Educational Childcare Center will be closed on Thursday for all children/students and staff.  Normal operation to resume Friday morning at our normal operating schedule for all.

Odum Learning Academy - closed.

Economic Opportunity Authority - Head Start - Chatham and Effingham County - on Thursday will be closed full day for children and  staff will report to work.

The Sanctuary Child Learning Center delayed opening - 10 a.m. Thursday.

Isle of Hope Methodist First Things First Program is closed Thursday.

All campuses of the Technical College of the Lowcountry will reopen at 10 a.m. Thursday for all students, faculty and staff. Normal business operations and class schedules will resume at that time. Please continue to check www.tcl.edu/emergency for the latest.

Savannah Technical College will delay opening at all campuses until noon on Thursday, January 30. All faculty and staff should report no later than 12:00 pm. All classes beginning at 12 pm or later will meet as scheduled.

The city of Savannah will reopen offices and begin to resume regular operations Thursday at 10 a.m.

Richmond Hill P.A.L.S. · Playing and Learning Specialists - closed.

Jasper County Board of Disabilities and Special needs in Ridgeland - closed.

Palmetto Breeze bus services will not operate Thursday. Transit services will return to normal operations on Friday. Palmetto Breeze offices will re-open Thursday at 12:00 p.m. Please check the Palmetto Breeze Website and Facebook page for more information and updates. 

The city of Port Wentworth will have a delayed opening of all city offices and services on Thursday with the exception of the Department of Public Safety.  Due to the anticipated overnight temperatures causing dangerous road conditions in the early hours, the City of Port Wentworth Offices will open at 10 am. 

Fort Pulaski National Monument is scheduled for a delayed opening at noon Thursday. If there are any changes, we will update Facebook and our website www.nps.gov/fopu.

Montgomery County Schools will again be closed on Thursday. Unless notified otherwise, schools will follow regular schedules on Friday. Montgomery County Schools include Montgomery County High School, Montgomery County Middle School, Montgomery County Elementary School, and Montgomery Academy.

Growing in the Son – Early Learning Christian Academy (held at Savannah Christian Church) is canceled/closed Thursday.

Charter Conservatory in Statesboro will be open for normal hours on Thursday.

Garden City - City Hall, the Recreation Department including the Senior Center will be opening for normal business tomorrow at 10 am. Other department will continue to work their normal schedule

The Jackson Surgery Center WILL be open Thursday for normal business hours.

Pediatric Associates of Savannah - Three offices will regular schedule Thursday.

Starting Point Daycare - Reopens Thursday.

Kinedyne Corporation - delayed opening of 8 a.m. on Thursday.

Little Angels Daycare in Pooler- closed.

Isle of Hope Methodist Preschool - closed.

First Christian Academy of Richmond Hill - closed.

Kidz University of Higher Learning will reopen Thursday normal hours.

Due to the harsh weather conditions, Bethesda Academy will remain closed on Thursday.

All programs of Royce Learning Center and Chatham Academy will be closed Thursday.

The Center for Pain Montgomery and Prattville locations reopen Thursday at 7 a.m.

Camden County - All county government offices will be open and observe regular hours on Thursday. County employees are advised to contact their direct supervisor if they have any questions.

All three locations of Curtis V. Cooper Primary Health Care Inc will reopen at 1 p.m. Thursday.

City of Rincon - Thursday morning at 8 a.m. with weather permitting.

Providence Christian School in Savannah will be closed on Thursday.

Coastal Center for Developmental Services will be closed Thursday. Staff is to be in by 10.

All Chatham County offices are closed Thursday except for personnel directly related to ice and snow response.  This includes all courthouse facilities.  Jurors are to call the jury hotline Thursday night for further information. 

Chatham County Courthouse will also be closed.

Chatham County Dept. of Family and Children Services will be closed.

The Children's Center Inc. Of Hilton Island SC currently plan on reopening at 10 a.m. Thursday. We will continue to monitor weather and road conditions and any changes will be reposted prior to 7 a.m. Thursday.

Early Scholars University, located in Garden City, GA will be closed on Thursday, January 30, 2014.

Wesley Community Centers of Savannah Inc. and the Lady Bamford Early Child Care Center - closed.

Brasseler USA - Normal operations are expected to resume on Thursday.

Savannah Adventist Christian School (Pooler) - closed.

Chatham County government: Anticipates offices will reopen on Thursday for normal business operations.  However, Departments are encouraged to be flexible in accommodating employees' arrival times based on individual circumstances.

Town of Hilton Head Island Town Hall operations and Town parks - reopens at noon Thursday.

St. Andrew's School closed for students and staff on Thursday. No afterschool activities will be held.

Volunteer in Medicine Hilton Head Island will resume normal hours.

Toombs County schools will be closed Thursday.

Mary's Little Lambs Child Care will be close on Thursday, will re-open Friday.

Bible Baptist Christian Academy in Statesboro will resume normal operating hours Thursday.

All non-essential staff should report to work at 12 p.m. Thursday. Essential personnel should report as scheduled. Patients should come to their appointments that are scheduled during open clinic times listed above.  If your appointment has been cancelled due to weather, you will be called to reschedule. If you cannot wait to reschedule call the TAP line at 888.878.6884.  VA's inpatient services and Emergency Room services will remain open.

The Chatham County Aquatic Center will be closed on Thursday due to the inclement weather.  No water aerobics programs or swim lessons.

St. Joseph's/Candler:
St. Joseph's Hospital and Candler Hospital and their Emergency Departments will remain open.
Radiation oncology patients will be rescheduled for Saturday.
•The St. Joseph's/Candler Smart Senior program will be cancelling classes and closing its office
•The St. Mary's Community Center, St. Mary's Health Center, the Good Samaritan Clinic and the African-American Health Information & Resource Center are closed and will reopen Thursday.

Bluffton Town Hall - open. Town of Bluffton - A "liberal leave" policy is in effect. If Bluffton Town employees need more time off beyond the announced closing, they can use PTO (personal time off.)

MCRD Parris Island - Family Day events on Thursday will be held as scheduled.

Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce office - plans to reopen on Thursday at noon.

Brewton-Parker College - closed. Classes will resume Monday, Feb. 3 at 8 a.m.

Ash Tree Learning Center Academy - School resumes.

Little Country Daycare in Port Wentworth will be closed Thursday.

Doodlebugs Child Learning Center will open at 8:30 Thursday.

El Shaddai Academy child care will be closed Thursday.

Vic's Preschool and Royal's Preschool - closed. 

Altamaha Technical College - The college will reopen on Thursday unless further notification.   

The Hinesville Downtown Development Authority offices will be closed Wednesday, January 29th due the threat of severe weather. HDDA is expected to reopen, Thursday, January 30 at 8 a.m.

Evans County schools as closed on Thursday to both students and staff.

Tattnall County Schools will be closed Thursday, Jan. 30 because of the impending weather.

Southeastern Technical College- Swainsboro and Vidalia classes canceled. Administrative offices open at 12 p.m.

Step of Faith Christian Academy, Ridgeland, SC- School canceled.

Ogeechee Technical College- All classes have been canceled. Administrative offices will reopen at 12 p.m.

Legacy Christian Academy in Ridgeland, SC canceled.

Palmetto Breeze may have a delayed start time depending on the weather conditions. Please check the Palmetto Breeze Website and FaceBook page for more information and updates.

Robert Toombs Christian Academy closed through Wednesday and will notify at a later date if we will be closed on Thursday. At this point we WILL be open at regular time Thursday.

Due to inclement weather, Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.'s Savannah facility will remain closed the rest of Wednesday, Jan. 29. Third-shift employees should not report to work. All Savannah and Brunswick employees are encouraged to check the Gulfstream INFO line at (912) 965-4636 or visit gulfstream.com/hurricane for additional updates.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, remains closed until noon Thursday due to inclement weather. Employees should report to work at noon. In addition "liberal leave" is in effect for the afternoon of Jan. 30. Employees seeking afternoon absence should contact their supervisor.
This closure affects employees stationed in Savannah, Hunter Army Airfield and Fort Stewart. Employees in other areas of the Savannah District in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina should follow guidance of their local managers. Contractors for the Corps of Engineers at local installations should follow the directions of the installation where they work.
Employees are placed on administrative (paid) leave during the closure. Workers should monitor local news outlets and district social media sites for updates. Employees should return to work Thursday.

The Air Station all non-emergency civilian and military personnel - Off Wednesday; planned return of 12:00 Thursday.

Savannah State University expected to reopen on Thursday.

The Savannah Urban Hope after school program will be closed on Thursday.

The Jewish Educational Alliance will be open Thursday at 10 am. JEA Preschool Savannah will be closed Thursday.

MCRD Parris Island The Depot Child Development Center (CDC) is scheduled to reopen on Thursday, 30 January at noon. The H&S Bn Chowhall will be available for essential civilian personnel that remain aboard the depot for emergency operations, as well as personnel staying in the bachelor officer's quarters and bachelor's enlisted quarters.

Jasper County School District - No school for students only on Thursday with an 11 a.m. delayed start for all staff. School will resume its normal operation on Friday.

The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force - It plans on opening for regular business hours on Thursday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

FORT STEWART & HUNTER ARMY AIRFIELD INSTALLATION UPDATE:
* Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield will reopen at 8 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 30.
* All gates at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield will resume normal operations at 8 a.m.
* Department of the Army Civilians and Contractors will report for work at 8.30 a.m.; Soldiers will report to their units by 10 a.m.
* DoDea schools will begin at 9 a.m.
* All installation programs and facilities will resume normal operations at 10 a.m., Thursday.
* The Commissary and Post Exchange at both Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield will resume normal operating hours. 
* All Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield MEDDAC outpatient clinics and all pharmacy locations will resume normal operations at 10 a.m. Thursday. 
* All motorists are encouraged to use caution as bridges and roads in some areas may still have icy patches.

CLOSURES FOR WEDNESDAY, JAN. 29:

Santuck Baptist Church will cancel all Wednesday night activities. 

Waste Pro Solid Waste Services will not collect sanitation Wednesday. Double routes will go into effect Thursday. All Solid Waste for Wednesday and Thursday will be picked up on Thursday.

The South University Savannah campus will be closed on Wednesday and reopen on Thursday. All classes are canceled and all administrative offices will be closed.

All evening activities at the Baptist Church at Ebenezer in Rincon have been canceled for Wednesday night.

All branches of First Chatham Bank, First Effingham Bank, Richmond Hill Bank, and First Glynn Bank will be closed on Wednesday. Normal banking hours will resume on Thursday.

The Coastal Bank offices closed. Employees should call the hotline for further updates. Normal banking hours will resume on Thursday.

Savannah Mall has delayed opening until Noon. The mall will be open Wednesday from Noon until 5 p.m. only. Mall officials will continue to monitor the weather situation.

Brasseler USA - closed. Normal operations are expected to resume on Thursday.

Hinesville's City Hall - closed. The Hinesville Police and Fire Departments will remain open, and the Public Works Department will have minimal services available for emergency services. The Hinesville Police and Fire Departments will remain open, and the Public Works Department will have minimal services available for emergency services.

City of Hinesville - Curbside garbage collection scheduled for Wednesday will be picked up on Thursday, Friday and Saturday if necessary. 

Chatham County government offices closed. Employees that are not directly supporting snow and ice response are directed to stay at home.

City of Savannah: All non-essential city services, including Sanitation pick-up, will be suspended on Wednesday. City offices and programs will be closed to the public on Wednesday. Police and fire emergency services will remain operational.

Corinth Free Will Baptist Church in Alma - Wednesday night service delayed until Thursday night at 7 due to weather concerns.

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Dept.: Non-essential SCMPD employees have been advised not to report for work Wednesday due to inclement weather that could render roadways impassible. Sworn personnel and those civilians designated as essential will be required to be on post unless special considerations have been arranged. All on-duty personnel are focusing on Patrol where possible. Departments considered non-essential, such as records and Administrative Services, will be closed.

Chatham County Municipalities + Chatham County public offices - closed with the exception of workers involved in snow and ice removal, according to CEMA.

The Town of Hilton Head Planning Commission Meeting, scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday - canceled and will be rescheduled in the near future.

Volunteer in Medicine Hilton Head Island - closed.

St. Joseph's/Candler:
St. Joseph's Hospital and Candler Hospital and their Emergency Departments will remain open.
•Medical Group Management offices will be closed Wednesday.
•Most offices at the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion will be closed. Radiation oncology patients will be rescheduled for Saturday.
•The St. Joseph's/Candler Smart Senior program will be cancelling classes and closing its office Wednesday.
•The Wellness Center and Center for WellBeing at Candler Hospital will cancel all classes through Wednesday.
•The Wellness Center Fitness Center will be closed from 5 p.m. today until at least until noon Wednesday.
•The St. Mary's Community Center, St. Mary's Health Center, the Good Samaritan Clinic and the African-American Health Information & Resource Center are closed and will reopen Thursday.
•Bearly Sick Childcare will be closed Wednesday.
•The Center for Cardio and Pulmonary rehab will be closed Wednesday.
•Physical Therapy at Garden City, Rincon and Bluffton will be closed Wednesday. Therapy in the hospitals will be open.

All Family Day activities on MCRD Parris Island scheduled for Wednesday are canceled.

Alzheimer's Family Services of Greater Beaufort has canceled their Social Day Program and the Caregivers Support Group scheduled for Wednesday January 29. Programs will resume normal schedules on Friday. Any questions please call 843.263.2062.

Brewton-Parker College - closed. Classes will resume Monday, Feb. 3 at 8 a.m.

Chatham Area Transit - Service suspended for fixed routes, paratransit services and ferry service.

The Chatham County Sheriff's Office will be canceling inmate visitation for Wednesday. Full inmate visitation will resume once the Sheriff's Office authorizes the resumption of normal operations. Call 912.652.7785 for more information.

Evans County Schools - School closed for students, faculty and staff. They are also cancelling the after-school program on Tuesday and Wednesday and the basketball game with Calvary is being rescheduled as well.

Due to the extreme weather conditions predicted and safety concerns for attendees for this Wednesday, Business EXPO, presented by the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, has been postponed until Thursday, February 13 at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa.

Long County Schools will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 29 due to a winter storm watch. Continue to monitor all media for a determination for school on Thursday.

Montgomery County Schools- School will be canceled for students. Faculty and staff should listen for notifications for whether they should report.

Hampton County School District One- School will be canceled.

Bulloch County- Schools and afterschool activities, as well as aftercare services for employees have been canceled.

Toombs County- Schools and all afterschool activities have been canceled.

All Screven County governmental offices will be closed. Offices are expected to reopen Thursday if weather permits.

Effingham County- All schools have been canceled for all students, faculty and staff. All afterschool activities have also been canceled.

Southeastern Technical College- Swainsboro and Vidalia campuses remain closed.

Bulloch Academy- School and all afterschool activities have been canceled.

Benedictine Military School- School canceled. Athletic activities are also canceled.

Greater Faith International Ministries, Inc. Administrative Office, Varnville, SC will be closed due to inclement weather.

Pinewood Christian Academy- School has been canceled. All afterschool activities and extracuricular activities have also been canceled.

Armstrong Atlantic State University- Classes have been canceled and business offices will be closed on both the Savannah and Hinesville campuses.

Urban Christian Academy and Daycare- Both will be closed all day.

SCAD, Savannah Campus- School will be closed all day. Plan to resume normal operations on Thursday.

Garden City Police Department - All court is canceled. In addition, administrative services will be minimally staffed for Wednesday and possibly Thursday but should return to normal operations by Friday.  

All programs at Wesley Community Centers of Savannah, Inc. and the Lady Bamford Early Child Care Center will be closed Wednesday.

Greenbriar's Child Development Program - W.W. Law Learning Center and Windy's Preschool, and Greenbriar Children's Center- Administrative Office closed.

Memorial Day School and Memorial Day Childcare Center closed.

Blessed Sacrament Catholic School, Notre Dame Academy, St. James Catholic School, St. Frances Cabrini Catholic School, and St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School closed.

Savannah Country Day School has canceled school and all extracurricular activities and practices for Wednesday due to the impending weather conditions.

The Social Security Administration in Vidalia will close at noon due to anticipated inclement weather. We will access the weather Wednesday morning to determine whether to delay opening the office, closing the office, or opening for business as usual.  

All Wayne County Schools closed to students, faculty, and staff members. All after school activities are canceled as well. A decision has not yet been made for Thursday.

All Glynn County public schools will be closed. All after-school programs and athletic activities will be canceled on Jan. 28 and Jan. 29 due to expected inclement weather. 

Robert Toombs Christian Academy will be closed and there will be no after school activities. A decision for Thursday will be made at a later time. 

All Armstrong classes are canceled and business offices will remain closed. This closure will affect the main Armstrong campus in Savannah and at the Liberty Center campus in Hinesville. Food service will continue on campus throughout the weather-related closure. 

The College of Coastal Georgia, including the Camden Center, closed. They will re-open at 8 a.m. on Thursday. During the closure, dining services will operate on a modified schedule. On Wednesday, hours of operation will be 9-10:30am for breakfast, 11:30am-2pm for lunch and 5-7pm for dinner.

All appointments at Naval Hospital Beaufort canceled. Regular services will resume Thursday at noon. The Emergency Room will remain open during this period. All canceled appointments will be rescheduled by the hospital. 

Palmetto Breeze offices will be closed. No routes will operate.

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.'s Savannah and Brunswick facilities will begin closing at noon Tuesday. The facilities will remain closed the balance of Tuesday and the first and second shifts on Wednesday. Employees are encouraged to check the Gulfstream INFO line at 912.965.4636 or visit gulfstream.com/hurricane for updates.

The Savannah District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers closed. This closure affects employees stationed at Hunter Army Airfield and Fort Stewart.

Daniel Defense A Shift, Office, Alternative 1st Shifts, 1st shifts should not report to work on Wednesday. B Shift should check the call-in number to see if they return to work on Wednesday.

Personnel and Services:

*Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 29. Emergency services (police, fire, ambulance, 911) will remain operational.

*All Soldiers will be released from duty at noon Tuesday, Jan. 28.

*Department of the Army Civilians and Contractors will be released at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 28. Army Civilians regularly scheduled to work Tuesday and Wednesday will be placed on administrative level effective 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

*All facilities and agencies will close at noon Tuesday, Jan. 28 and remain closed Wednesday, Jan. 29,  with the exception to the following:

*Commissaries will remain open until 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 28 and will remain closed Wednesday, Jan. 29.

*All Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield MEDDAC outpatient clinics and all pharmacy locations will close noon Tuesday, Jan. 28 and will remain closed Wednesday, Jan. 29.  The Winn ACH Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, and all inpatient wards will remain open.  The MEDDAC staff is currently in the process of contacting patients who have appointments scheduled during the closure to reschedule them for a future date.

*All CYSS facilities will close 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28. Children at the Child Development Centers must be picked up no later than 12:30 p.m. Youth Sports and Middle School & Teen programs will not be open. Please be advised, the operating hours are subject to change depending on the inclement weather as directed.

*Fort Stewart Schools will be dismissing students at noon and all employees at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28. Fort Stewart Schools will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 29. All Calls and emails will be sent to parents for updated information throughout the week.

The Hinesville Downtown Development Authority offices will be closed Wednesday, January 29th due the threat of severe weather. HDDA is expected to reopen, Thursday, January 30 at 8 a.m.

Robert Toombs Christian Academy closed through Wednesday and will notify at a later date if we will be closed on Thursday. At this point we WILL be open at regular time Thursday.

This closure affects employees stationed in Savannah, Hunter Army Airfield and Fort Stewart. Employees in other areas of the Savannah District in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina should follow guidance of their local managers. Contractors for the Corps of Engineers at local installations should follow the directions of the installation where they work.
Employees are placed on administrative (paid) leave during the closure. Workers should monitor local news outlets and district social media sites for updates. Employees should return to work Thursday.

The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center outpatient clinics at the downtown campus and VA's clinics in Hinesville, Goose Creek, Beaufort, Savannah and Myrtle Beach, and the Trident Annex will close from noon Tuesday, Jan. 28 through Wednesday, Jan. 29 due to the impending winter storm.  Patients should come to their appointments that are scheduled during open clinic times mentioned earlier.  If your appointment is cancelled due to weather, you will be called to reschedule.  If you cannot wait to reschedule call the TAP line at 888.878.6884.  VA's inpatient services and Emergency Room services will remain open.

The Jewish Educational Alliance in Savannah - closed. The JEA will reopen Thursday January 30th for regular hours of operation. The Savannah Jewish Film Festival Dinner and Double Feature, Tuesday January 28th is postponed and is rescheduled for Wednesday, February 5th at the same time.
