CEMA: Watch out for black ice

The Chatham Emergency Management Agency expects black ice to become a major issue Wednesday night as temperatures drop into the upper teens and lower 20s.

Black ice is difficult to see especially while driving. If motorists hit a patch of black ice it could result in them losing control of their vehicle.

Black ice is dangerous to those who walk around outside. Anyone who must go out should be alert for dangerous conditions Wednesday night and into the morning hours Thursday.

Report icy conditions to the CEMA office by calling 912.2014500 or 311 if in the city of Savannah.
