State, Atlanta leaders react to weather issues

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA (WTOC) -
Both Gov. Nathan Deal and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed responded Wednesday about mistakes made with severe weather that left drivers stranded for more than half a day on major roadways around the Atlanta metro.

The Atlanta-Journal Constitution reported that the governor said his response to the snowstorm was "reasonable", but apologized for gridlock on Atlanta streets.

"We can never promise that we will always be correct when it comes to deciding what Mother Nature will do," the governor said at a statehouse press conference, according to the AJC.
Reed said there were mistakes but added that his focus is helping to rescue the untold number of Atlantans still sitting in gridlock.
