Mechanics busy during winter storm

Mechanics were busy this week as some people prepared to drive in this nasty weather. Most people wanted to make sure they weren't going to get stuck with a dead battery or run into problems while driving in these conditions.

The Grainger Honda general manager said their mechanics were pretty swamped earlier this week.  They had drivers dropping off their cars to make sure they were in good shape to drive in icy conditions.

The general manager said one of the main things they check for are proper levels of antifreeze to make sure the water in the cooling system does not freeze. They were also checking for any other potential issues.

"On the anticipation of winterizing a car, you look at tires, brakes, all the safety items like that," said Mark Grainger.  "You just want to make sure the car is safe to be on the road."
