GLENNVILLE, GA (WTOC) -

Nearly two years after Roger Dasher's murder, investigators arrested one of his children in connection with the crime.

Tattnall County sheriff's deputies, GBI agents and Georgia State Troopers arrested Lisa Dasher and Stephen Evans in the front yard of a home on Beard's Creek. Capt. Kevin Keyfauver, of the Tattnall County Sheriff's Office, said Lisa Dasher lived in the home with Evans and his wife.

Roger Dasher, who owned The Santa Maria restaurant in Glennville and operated a strawberry farm beside it, was found dead of a gunshot wound in his home on March 29, 2012.

Keyfauver said the daughter had been a suspect in her father's murder since the beginning, but investigators waited until they felt they had enough evidence to convince a jury of her guilt. He would not elaborate on what prompted them to make the arrest.

"This has been a complex cause, with a lot of issues in it. It's just taken some time to bring it to some closure," Keyfauver said.

Both Dasher and Evans remain in the Tattnall County jail, charged with murder and awaiting a hearing before a magistrate judge.
