Stacie Eichinger has been Walking Across America since May 2013 - raising awareness for Beads of Courage.
Memorial marks her 21st hospital visit. The program allows children dealing with cancer and other illnesses to earn a bead for every medical procedure they go through.
On her journey, Eichinger has carried a bead on each mile of her 3,800-mile walk for courage.
"There's so many programs out there that raise money for cancer, but there's not a lot of programs that help children cope with what they are going through. You get a shot; you get a sticker; you throw that sticker away, or you get a lollipop. But there is nothing out there that kids can really hold onto," Eichinger said.
Eichinger's journey ends Saturday at Tybee Island.
