Beaufort County Superintendent Jeffrey Moss and members of the Board of Education will start the 2014 series of town hall meetings on Feb. 3 in Hilton Head.
The first town hall of the new year will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in Hilton Head Island High School's auditorium.
Moss holds informal town hall meetings twice yearly to answer questions from the public in each of the district's five high school attendance areas. New proposed attendance zones, school choice programs and other topics will be the focus of the upcoming five meetings.
The five scheduled town hall meetings, which will also include School Board members, are:
"I'm really looking forward to hearing what's on parents' minds, especially pertaining to school attendance zones," Moss said in a statement. "It's important for everyone to understand this process and participate in it."
