Savannah Arts Academy held the 6th Annual Junk 2 Funk Fashion Show on Friday evening.

Student designers featured "trash" that has been creatively transformed into more than 70 pieces of uniquely constructed wearable art and avant-garde fashion to the theme the "Forces of Nature".

"to see out visual arts students take something from the classroom to the stage is a really rewarding experience for them, their families and the models that get to wear clothing." said Trellis Payne, Visual Arts Department Chair.

The winner of the fashion show will receive a $1500 scholarship and will show six looks at Savannah's fashion week.

If you missed the show Friday, you can see the designs tomorrow at 2:30 to 7 pm at the school on Washington Avenue.

Tickets range from $15 to $20.
