Oyster and Art Gala held by Pin Point Heritage Society

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Saturday night, The Pin Point Heritage Society hosted its annual Art and Oysters Gala.

Pin Point is a small community off of Skidaway Island which still retains much of the Gullah Geechee heritage that is unique to the coasts of South Carolina and Georgia.

The event was held on the grounds of the Pin Point Museum and included an oyster roast as well as authentic storytelling and art provided by the guest of honor, world renowned Gullah Geechee artist, Jonathan Green, who has recently created a new piece based on the life of Pin Point.

Green's artwork is currently available in a limited edition poster that you can get at the Pin Point Heritage Museum or the Coastal Heritage Society.
