NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD announced an arrest in Monday's hit-and-run accident that killed a 6-year-old boy. Police say the silver Honda Crosstour involved was located in the 1600 block of Charlton Drive Monday afternoon.

The driver was identified as 22-year-old Arthur Toledano. He was booked with manslaughter, attempted manslaughter, hit and run and reckless operation.

An NOPD spokesman said the hit and run happened around 7 a.m. at the intersection of Lafreniere and Paris Avenue in Gentilly.

The boy was taken to the hospital, where he died. The boy's 9-year-old sister was also struck. Police say her injuries are not life-threatening.

Detectives found parts of the Honda Crosstour on the scene and obtained surveillance video footage that captured the incident.
