Teen arrested for posting topless photo of friend on Twitter

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A 17-year-old girl from Baton Rouge is facing a felony charge for taking a picture of a topless 15-year-old girl and posting it to Twitter.

According to the probable cause report filed by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, the picture was taken back in May 2013. The suspect snapped the picture while the victim was changing clothes in the suspect's vehicle.

"The accused captured a photographer of her nude from the waist up," the investigating deputy noted in the report. "The victim stated her image was also copied from that website by a male subject, who again re-posted the nude image on Twitter and refused to remove the image."

Officials say the male suspect involved in the investigation has not been arrested. However, they did note that the case is under investigation.

According to deputies, the female suspect did admit to taking the picture, but claims she did so as a joke. She also admitted to posting the picture to Twitter, but claims she removed the image less than a minute after it was uploaded. However, she also admitted that she was aware the male downloaded the image before it was removed.

After questioning, the 17-year-old was arrested and charged with video voyeurism. She was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. Her bond is set at $2,500.
