Chatham Co. teacher receives stipend for innovative teaching methods

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Gov. Nathan Deal recognized a Chatham County elementary school teacher Wednesday.

Bynikini Frazier, a first grade English and Language Arts teacher at Sarah Hodge Elementary School, is one of seven teachers chosen for her innovative teaching strategies for the Georgia Standards in English/Language Arts and mathematics.

Frazier will receive a $2,000 stipend, and the school will receive a $5,000 grant for implementation of Georgia's instructional standards.

WTOC would like to congratulate Bynikini Frazier on a job well done.
