Couple sought in connection with Soniat Street robbery

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Detectives are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a male and female who may have additional information about a robbery that occurred Wednesday in the 1600 block of Soniat Street. 

At approximately 8:15 p.m., the victim was getting items out of her car when a man grabbed her from behind and threw her to the ground. He then took the victim's bag containing her iPhone and computer, and fled the area.      

The subject was described as an black male, 18 to 25 years old and approximately 5'6" tall and 150 pounds. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

Police did not provide a description of the female, but both were captured on surveillance video at N. Broad Avenue and Banks Street. Still images from that video are at right.
