This month, the YMCA of Coastal Georgia is launching its annual campaign to ensure that everyone in Coastal Georgia has access to vital community programs and resources that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
"Throughout Coastal Georgia, countless people know the Y. But there's so much more to our Y than one might think," said Rachel Meuser Bowman, Chief Advancement Officer, YMCA of Coastal Georgia in a statement. "The Y is more than a gym. It's a cause. As a charity, we're dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving the nation's health and well-being, and giving back and providing support to our neighbors."
The YMCA of Coastal Georgia hopes to raise $630,000 this year, and the funds raised will support a parent with after school care, enroll an ore-diabetic in the YMCA's Diabetes Prevention Program, provide a child with swim lessons and give an individual the chance to live a healthier life.
These are just a few of the many ways your gift can make a significant impact in someone's life.
