Savannah Rocks paid tribute to the Beatles Friday night with a sold out crowd.
The event was put together in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Beatles' appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show.
Seventy-three million Americans tuned in at 8 p.m. on a Sunday night to see four mop top Brits they'd been hearing about.
"For people my age, when you hear these songs, you really do remember the moment you first heard them," said Tom Kohler of Savannah Rocks. "You remember being 12, 13, 14, 15 years old and you know that makes you feel good because those were, for many of us, wonderful, exploratory, great years."
Kohler said tonight's event was so successful because of the popularity of the Beatles among several generations of people.
