Greenway Bike Riders Stop in Savannah

Want to go for a bike ride? A long bike ride? Ten riders rolled onto Hutchinson Island. They're pedaling from Maine to Key West, with a stop in Savannah. That's 2,800 miles in all. They're riding the East Coast Greenway, America's first long-distance urban trail for cyclists.

"Greenways unite them, they bring them together," said rider Mac Sexton. "Because people walk through other people's neighborhoods and meet each other. They say hello. It slows the pace down a little. The people are healthier and communities are stronger."

These riders are all over 50. They'll be in Georgia through Sunday, and then continue south to the keys.
