Savannah gas prices drop; national average climbs

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The average retail price of gas in Savannah dropped 0.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.22 per gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 262 gas outlets in Savannah.

Including the change in gas prices in Savannah during the past week, prices on Sunday were 28.1 cents per gallon lower than the same day a year ago and are 5.2 cents per gallon lower last month.

The national average has increased 1.6 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.28 per gallon, according to GasBuddy data. But the national average dropped 1.9 cents per gallon during the last month and stands at 26.8 cents per gallon lower than the same day a year ago.
