United Way has designated Feb. 11 as National 211 Day in an effort to promote the United Way 211 service. The 211 is a telephone number that connects callers to information about critical health and human services.

All calls are confidential. United Way 211 Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty and McIntosh counties.

Here are the types of services United Way 211 can provide: phone numbers, hours of operation, locations, directions and other types of information about where to get help.

Callers can get help with: Child care, clothing, counseling, domestic violence, employment, financial assistance, food, housing, shelter and substance abuse.
