Sheriff: Marana woman allegedly caught with minor jumps from window, breaks ankle

A Marana woman who police say broke her ankle jumping out the window of a bedroom where she was allegedly having sex with a minor was arrested and charged with sexual misconduct with a minor, according to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.

According to a news release, Keri Gonzalez, 34, was booked into the Pinal County Jail for sexual misconduct with a minor and providing false information to a peace officer.

Deputies say on the morning of Jan. 21 a woman investigating "knocking sounds by the stairs and on the wall" discovered her 15-year-old son with a naked woman in his bedroom. After putting on her clothes, the woman jumped out of the second-floor window, according to the release.

30 minutes later, Gonzalez, who is an acquaintance of the family, came to the San Tan Valley home to report that she had broken her ankle when she jumped out the window, the release said.

According to the release, the boy told a deputy that Gonzalez had allegedly come to the house after his mother fell asleep. The Sheriff's Office said the boy told the deputy he and Gonzalez drank alcohol that she provided and they had sex twice before being caught.

When a Pinal County Sheriff's deputy located Gonzalez on Jan. 25, she had a cast on her ankle. She also allegedly lied to the deputy about where she lived.
