ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia state troopers say they've responded to more than 200 crashes throughout the state since the beginning of the winter storm.

Officials say that troopers north of a line stretching from Columbus through Macon toward Savannah responded to more than 250 crashes between 2 a.m. and 9 p.m. Wednesday in areas being coated with freezing rain, sleet and snow.

Troopers say 32 people have been injured, and no fatalities have been reported so far.

State patrol officials say troopers and motor carrier compliance officers have also provided help to 252 drivers.
