AWN to discontinue at Ft. Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield

Posted: Updated:
FORT STEWART (WTOC) -

American Warrior Networks (AWN) internet and TV services at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield will be discontinued, effective Feb. 20.

In early June, Boingo will be the new provider at locations previously serviced by AWN.

Soldiers can contact Comcast at 888-266-2278 or Centurylink to check the availability of interim internet services. For Centurylink, Soldiers in the Barracks can call 912-408-1240 and identify themselves as a Ft. Stewart Barracks customer to the customer support representative who will be ready to take all of their information.

Once service is up and running, Boingo will offer high-speed Wi-Fi, IP-based wireless HDTV, enhanced video capability and access to more than one million hotspots around the world.

Boingo will also bring competitive pricing and flexible plans (hourly, daily, weekly and monthly) to Fort Stewart. Additionally, no contracts, hidden fees or cancellation charges are applied and no installation or special equipment is required.
