CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

A judge has denied bond for a Chatham County Sheriff's Office lieutenant who is under federal investigation in connection with child molestation charges.

Lt. Richard Hall was arrested Dec. 20 and a search was conducted at his Wilmington Island home. He is charged with aggravated child molestation.

The state said they have discovered six more victims since the first bond hearing, bringing the total number of confirmed victims to seven. The state said the inappropriate behavior dates back to 1990s.

Prosecutors said there is also evidence that Hall engaged in inappropriate behavior while on the job as an officer.

The defense requested the bond saying Hall has significant medical issues that are not being taken care of in jail and asked that he be put on house arrest.

Judge Timothy Walmsley denied bond based the state's claim that Hall has been intimidating witnesses and could be a flight risk.
