Second man in fatal crash identified

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Anotherhomeless man who was killed Friday night in a Toyota pickup truck crash hasbeen identified.

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police said Arthur Ehardt, 64, was one of two homelessmen who was killed when their pickup truck overturned into a canal.

Ehardt and JosephBenjaman Webb Jr., 46, died in the truck that had landed in several feet ofwater near a homeless camp beneath the Louisville Road entrance ramp to the US17 highway overpass in west Savannah.

 Ehardt's identity had been withheld until hisfamily could be notified.

Police saidthey were in a pickup that Webb attempted to back down a rugged path next to thecanal as were driving away from the homeless camp. The wheels on the driver'sside of the truck went over the side of the canal and the truck overturned. Thetwo men were unable to exit the vehicle.

SCMPD's MajorAccident Investigation Team continues to investigate.
