SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

In high school playoffs, the Calvary and Claxton girls finally got a chance to get on the court for a region title, while in boys play, it was Portal and Truetlen County.

The final took an extra three days due to last week's weather, but Tuesday they finally got to crown a region champion. In Soperton, Portal and Treutlen went head to head in front of a full house.

The Panthers Trent Thomas got it going with a bank to tie it up early in the game.

Still in the first, Robert Lee took the rock and buried the three from another area code to put the Panthers with in two.

The Vikings came right back, as Kelvonte Jackson took a long pass and drained a three of his own from the left side.

On the other end, Trent Thomas showed off his hops with the two handed jam!

The Panthers came up short handed though, Treutlen County with the 68-62 win and the pride of the region.

The cavaliers have to wait and see who they play next in the first round of the state playoffs.
