CHICAGO, Feb. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Bankers Life and Casualty Company, a national life and health insurer, was recently recognized for excellence in its field and home office training programs by Training magazine's Training Top 125.

Bankers Life earned the No. 52 spot on the Training Top 125 list for 2014.  This marks the third consecutive year that Bankers Life has been recognized in the annual Training Top 125 rankings, which recognize organizations for providing world class employer-sponsored workforce training and development programs.

Bankers Life was recognized for its outstanding field and home office training programs. Bankers Life provides multi-faceted lifelong learning tools for all levels of its field force consisting of over 5,000 agents and managers at more than 300 office locations across the United States.  Learning and development opportunities include workshops, live best practice forums, as well as web-based and on-demand training.

"Training and development at Bankers Life has always been a part of our culture and we are honored to receive this elite recognition," said Scott Goldberg, president of Bankers Life and Casualty Company.  "Having a highly trained and skilled workforce not only leads to a higher quality of service for our customers but also leads to identifying and developing future leaders of tomorrow."

Now in its 14th year, the Training Top 125 ranking is determined by assessing a range of factors, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, and how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives.  For more information about Training magazine's Top 125, visit
