SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
Five men have been arrested and two cars have been recovered after the burglary of a southside auto dealership Monday night.
Southside Precinct Patrol Officers were called to Volvo of Savannah on White Bluff Road at approximately 11:38 p.m. after employees discovered two company-owned vehicles and one customer-owned vehicle were missing.
Nakeem Squila Antonio Sams, 19, was arrested after a foot pursuit by Central Precinct officers after he wrecked a 1995 Buick LaCrosse on East 64th Street.
Sams identified himself as someone else, but officers were able to determine his true identity. He was charged with receiving stolen property, obstruction and providing a false name to police.
Four other men were arrested around noon on Tuesday after foot pursuits by Crime Suppression Unit officers of both the Central and Southside precincts followed a stolen Volvo carrying three suspects to Sieler and Waters avenues.
The fourth suspect was outside of the car talking to the occupants. He also fled.
Police discovered three weapons and illegal drugs in the paths the suspects took as they ran from police. Drugs were also found on one of the suspects.
Dominic Manwell Williams, 21, Jaquease Lamont Dunn, 19, and Raheem Yusell Kirkland, 18, were all arrested. Williams was charged with obstruction, Dunn was charged with theft by receiving stolen property and Kirkland was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of tools to commit a crime and obstruction.
Hakeem Anthony Kelsey, 20, the man standing outside of the vehicle, was also arrested. He was wanted on forgery charges and he was also charged with obstruction.
The customer-owned vehicle and one company-owned vehicle have been recovered, according to Volvo of Savannah.
Still missing from the thefts is a gray 2007 Audi Q7 SUV.
