NEWTON COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Authorities released surveillance video from inside a Covington Kroger where a man set himself on fire.

It happened Tuesday when witnesses saw him taking rubbing alcohol off shelves and pouring it throughout the store. Police say that when they approached him he poured the alcohol on himself and lit himself with a lighter.

In the surveillance video you can see police jump on top of the man and heavy smoke and flames.

The man suffered second-degree burns.

Two officers were treated on the scene with minor burns.
