Six arrested on drug charges in Hilton Head apartment

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Drug Investigations Section executed asearch warrant at an apartment complex on the South end of Hilton Head Island Wednesdaynight, and as a result six suspects were arrested.

Drug investigators executed the warrant just after 6:30 p.m. at the CordilloCourts apartments on unit O-05. A long-term investigation into alleged drugactivity in that unit led to several controlled drug purchases being made, andas a result, a search warrant was obtained.

Investigators made contact with several suspects, one of whom attempted todiscard evidence by throwing drugs and a handgun out of window. The discardeditems were recovered successfully and all suspects were detained whileinvestigators searched the premises.  

Investigators seized quanitities of crack cocaine, methamphethamine,marijuana, prescription medications, a handgun and U.S. currency. Theinvestigation remains active and additional charges/arrests are pending.

Six people were arrested: Gary Nunes, Jr., 30, Timothy Shamil Bond,24,Matthew Dave Pelton, 32, Rachel Lynette Collins, 21, Amanda Shawntora Collins,26 and Diamond Jessica Clark, 22.

Nunes, Jr. was charged with possession with intent to distribute crackcocaine, possession of methamphetamines, possession with intent to distribute marijuana,possession with intent to distribute schedule two controlled substances(Oxycodone), possession of a schedule two controlled substance (Dalaudid) andpossession of a schedule four controlled substance (Xanax).

Bond was charged with possession of a schedule two controlled substance(Oxycodone) and simple possession of marijuana.

 Pelton was charged with possessionwith intent to distribute marijuana.

Rachel Collins was charged with two bench warrants, Miranda Collins wascharged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and Clark wascharged with providing false information, simple possession of marijuana,possession of a schedule two controlled substance (Oxycodone) and two arrestwarrants for trespassing and third degree assault and battery.

In the execution of the search warrant,investigators seized: approximately 4.5 grams of crack cocaine, approximately30 grams of marijuana, less than one gram of methamphetamines, 45 pills ofOxycodone, nine pills of Dilaudid, two pills of Xanax, one Kal-Tec .380 handgunand $2,533 in cash.
