Police: Ridgeland man turns himself in after shooting

RIDGELAND, SC (WTOC) -

A man who was soughtby Ridgeland police in connection with a shooting at the Woodridge Apartmentsturned himself in on Thursday afternoon.

Police said DanteJenkins, of Ridgeland, turned himself at about 2 p.m. in to the Ridgeland policeat the Jasper County Detention Center. He is awaiting a bond hearing.

Ridgeland policeresponded to a call Tuesday morning on several shots fired at WoodridgeApartments. Officers arrived to find a someone inside an apartment with agunshot to his leg.  He was treated byEMS and taken to Coastal Carolina Medical Center.

Two warrants had beenissued for the Jenkins' arrest on charges of attempted murder and possession ofa handgun during the commission of a crime.
