GUYTON, GA (WTOC) - The Effingham County Sheriff's Office has released the name of a boy who was shot Thursday night.
Landry Oliver, 9, of Guyton, is on life support after being shot with a .22 rifle at a home in the 1000 block of Zittrouer Road.
At about 7 p.m. the Effingham County Sheriff's Office responded to the report of a child shot.
"A 9-year-old child was air lifted to Memorial Health University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries," said Sheriff's spokesman David Ehsanipoor in a statement. "This appears to be an isolated incident and there are no initial signs of foul play at this time."
Landry is student at Marlow Elementary. The Effingham County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.
