GUYTON, GA (WTOC) -

Visitation and funeral arrangements have been made for a young boy who died from a gunshot wound in Effingham County.

An autopsy performed Monday at the GBI Crime Lab in Savannah revealed that nine-year-old Landry Oliver died from a single gunshot wound to the head. The Effingham County Sheriff's Office says Thursday's shooting in Guyton appears to be accidental with no signs of foul play and no charges are expected.

An obituary posted by Riggs Funeral Home states, "Landry loved life and enjoyed every minute. A great lover of the outdoors, most of the time he could be found there playing with his best friend or a sibling, whether it be baseball, fishing, riding bikes or just rambling. He was also an active, faithful member of his church."

Landry is survived by his parents, Micheal and Vickie Oliver of Guyton; two brothers, Cole and Kason; two sisters, Mackenzie and Alaina; grandparents; great grandparents; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Feb. 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Riggs Funeral Home, 1979 Hwy 119 S in Guyton. Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 26 at Countryside Baptist Church, 1201 Noel C. Conway Road in Guyton.
