Hilton Head Island names grand marshal for St. Patrick's Day Parade

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -

The Hilton Head Island St. Patrick's Day Parade GrandMarshal has been named.

The parade committee introduced G. Neil Love as the GrandMarshal for the 31st annual parade.

The honor is given to someone who stands out in thecommunity. Parade committee members said Dr. Love was that person.

Dr. Love was Hilton Head's first Obstetrician/Gynecologistand has delivered more than 4,000 babies on the island.

He will lead the parade on Sunday, March 16 at 3p.m. starting at the south end of Pope Avenue.
