TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

TODAY'S MOST...Unusual Arrest: Two men dressed as clowns got arrested in the subways of New York City.

The two men apparently were rude to other passengers, and asked them to eat peanuts from a bowl they had in their hands. Some of the people complained to the transit authority, and then police made the arrest.

A source told the New York Daily News that while the clowns were in custody, "they were singing to each other and doing clown stuff."

37-year old Andrew Valins and 42-year old Gordon Reinits were charged with loitering and performing without a permit. Anyone who wants to perform in the New York City subways needs to get a permit through the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
