TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

TODAY'S MOST...Unbelievable Scam: Teammates on a high school wrestling team went door-to-door asking for donations, claiming they were raising money for one of their teachers who had cancer. Turns out, they were just trying to get money for themselves.

The boys go to Elmwood High School in Ohio. A woman called the school because she felt something was fishy when the kids came to her door.

The school checked, and realized the kids just cooked up the scam on their own.

The Elmwood Schools superintendent said "I'm really disappointed, because when you use 'cancer,' that's how you get at people's hearts and that's not how we do business here." At this point, the school doesn't know how many homes the kids targeted, or how much money they took.

The school hasn't punished the kids yet, although they certainly could be expelled. Elmwood also turned all of the information over to the local sheriff's office.
