Home heavily damaged in early morning fire

OVERTON, TX (KLTV) -

Several Smith County fire crews have contained an early morning house fire in Overton.

Authorities tell us the fire began around 5:00 Wednesday morning in the 400 block of E. South Street. Arp, Overton and Smith County fire departments all responded to help contain the blaze.

Right now, very few details are known about what caused the fire, or if anyone was in the house when it began, but we're told there is heavy damage to the home. No injuries have been reported at this time.
