STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

Bulloch County investigators have arrested two people after a lengthy investigation into the sale of illegal steroids.

Statesboro-Bulloch Crime Suppression Team investigators served a search warrant Tuesday in the 300 block of Palm Avenue in the Hammocks Subdivision in Statesboro. Officials say the search warrant was the culmination of a lengthy investigation into the sale of illegal steroids.

During the search, investigators located a substantial amount of suspected steroids along with hundreds of syringes and other items consistent with the distribution of these substances, according to the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office.

The tenant of the home, James Hunter Poole, 23, of Statesboro, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana (misdemeanor), and possession/use of a drug related object.

A female present at the time the search warrant was executed, Jaci Bree Bozeman, 20, of Statesboro, was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana (misdemeanor).
