Suspect wanted in series of Savannah car break-ins

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah-Chatham MetropolitanPolice are looking for the gold car and suspect involved in a series of Savannahcar break-ins last month.

Kenneth Mack is wanted bypolice for a series of car break-ins, including at Calvary Baptist Temple andat Lake Mayer.

The victims of thebreak-ins are excited about this news. Police said Mack was involved in multiple auto incidents on Savannah's east and Southside.

The getaway car in eachcase was a 1996 gold Honda Accord with tinted windows and license platePSM-9091.

Last month, some vigilantmoms were able to snap a photo of the car and license plate at Lake Mayer. Itwas the same car caught on tape at Calvary Day School, where Sarah McCallar waspicking up her son from day care when police said Mack, and possibly others,entered her car and stole a phone, diaper bag and more.

Police said Mack returnedto the scene a few days later and broke into another vehicle, and then the samething happened at Lake Mayer.

This time, the momswere there calling 911 and snapping pictures before police arrived and began apursuit which ended after the car entered Savannah State University.

McCallar said this was newsthey've been waiting for.

"Especially withsocial media and it being shared, I feel good and I feel like they will get himand put him away," McCallar said. "The only good thing is with somany break-ins, they get a different charge and with a different charge thereis more jail time. Hopefully he will go away for a long time and not do thisagain."
