CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Former Chatham County Sheriff's Office Lt. Rick Hall was terminated Friday, effective immediately.

Hall was recently indicted on several counts of child molestation and remains in the Chatham County Detention Center.

Hall has been in jail and was on un-paid leave since his arrest in late December 2013.

A complaint led to a search warrant and Hall's arrest. A previous complaint was filed in 2008, but an investigation failed to produce substantial evidence to prosecute.

An investigation in 2013 led to the identity of additional victims and other criminal activity. The investigation was conducted by the CCSO with assistance of the Chatham County District Attorney's Office.

Information from both cases will be included in the ongoing criminal case against Hall. Anyone with information is asked to call 912.652.7693 and speak to an internal affairs instigators or call Crimestoppers at 912.234.2020.
