BCSO identifies shooting suspect

BEAUFORT CO., SC (WTOC) -

Beaufort County Sheriff's Office investigators have identified a suspect in a shooting that left one man injured Friday night.

Officials say 36-year-old Omar Lamont Habersham is wanted for attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime in connection with the shooting of a 32-year-old man at 91 Coinbow Loop just before 11 p.m. on March 7.

The victim sustained several gunshot wounds to his lower torso area and was transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital for treatment. He has since been released.

Deputies are actively searching for Habersham. He is described as a black male, approximately 5'7", 165 lbs with short, shaved hair. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
