SCMPD: Daughter taken from daycare after assault on teacher

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A man accused of removing his baby daughter from a daycare center and assaulting a teacher on Tuesday afternoon is wanted by Savannah-Chatham Metro Police.

Police said McCoy Robertson III, 21, took his daughter Malaysia Robertson, 1, at about 12:30 p.m. from Angels Child Care and Enrichment Center in the 800 block of West Bowden Street.

The man is described as a black male with dreadlocks who is wearing a gray and white striped shirt and jeans. Malaysia was wearing a pink top with Mickey Mouse on it, pink tights and black shoes.

The daycare worker sustained minor injuries but did not require treatment.

Parents can now pick their children up.

Anyone with information on the location of either the father or the child is asked to call Emergency 911 immediately.
