Some residents at a nearby neighborhood called The Farm don't want it neartheir homes.

But it's not all bad news for Friends of Bluffton Dog Parks.

About a dozen people showed up to the group's Tuesday night monthly meeting.

The group is still planning to build a dog park before the end of 2014 despitehaving to change locations.

"This is our intent, we're going to move forward, we're working on anupdated MOA with us, the town and the county," said Cheryl Raugh,President of the Friends of Bluffton Dog Parks.

In 2011, some residents within The Farm signed a petition to prevent TheFriends of Bluffton Dog Parks from building it near them.

Although some still oppose it, other neighbors like Debbie Dubrucu support it100 percent.

"We should embrace that dog park, it was originally planned to be a dogpark when the property was sold," she said.

And she adds that in the end, it's not just about them.
"We owe it to the animals, we really do because they're our familytoo," said Debrucu.
The group said it will try to strike a compromise, whether it's building aprivacy fence or hedges, to make all parties happy.
