Georgia families can now use a self-service feature to access information about their benefits.
The Division of Family and Children Services recently launched the automated options on its Georgia One phone line. DFAC clients who are enrolled in the Food Stamp, Medicaid and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families programs in Georgia can get basic account information.
The new automated feature gives clients their case status, benefit amount and the date of their next renewal. Clients must provide the main client identification number associated with their benefits to access automated services.

The new service aims to eliminating the wait for clients who have general questions about their benefits. There are plans for more enhancements to the phone service as the agency receives feedback, according to a DFACS news release.
Benefit recipients can also access account information, apply for benefits or report changes to their accounts online at www.compass.ga.gov.
