Man charged with attempted murder in Estill

ESTILL, SC (WTOC) -

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder. The charges stem from a fight at a nightclub in Hampton County.

Estill police told WTOC that Damian Duncan was arrested on March 9 and charged with three counts of attempted murder, one count of burglary in the first degree, and one count of possessing a weapon during a violent crime.

Police said Duncan got into a fight with someone at a club in Hampton County and was injured. Estill's deputy police chief said Duncan tried to find that person, but came in contact with several family members instead and fired gunshots at them.

Police said that a few days later, Duncan saw the guy he was looking for, broke into his girlfriend's house and ran off after discovering the man's family members there. A few days later, Duncan came in contact another family member of the person he was looking for and stabbed him, according to police.

Duncan has been denied bond and he's being held at the Hampton County Detention Center.
