MCINTOSH CO., GA (WTOC) -

McIntosh County Sheriff's investigators said there may be more victims of a high school math teacher.

McIntosh County Academy teacher Lori Quigley remains behind bars Wednesday, charged with three counts of sexaul assault by a person with a supervisory discipline authority.

The sheriff said this teacher is not only accused of having sex with her students, but he said it may have happened on school property.

"Evidently, some teachers had some concerns and they contacted their supervisor who brought it to the police chief out there," said McIntosh Co. Sheriff Steve Jessup."He did a cursery investigation and then brought it before the superintendent and the board. They asked us to step in and take the lead on the investigation."

According to Jessup, Quigley is accused of sleeping with at least two of her male students at the high school, interactions authorities said may have happened both on and off school property.

The Board of Education already accepted Quigley's resignation prior to her arrest. However, there is a possiblitiy that she may have been involved with more than two students.

"We are thinking that there may be some more victims, and we're trying to talk to people and let them know that we are interested in pursuing the investigation, and if there are other victims if they would come forward," said Jessup.

Quigley has a formal bond hearing Thursday morning, and the case is under investigation.
