Woman jumps in stranger's car, demands ride home

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

It's one of those stories that makes you ask yourself, "what would I do?"

Savannah-Chatham Metro police said a woman getting off work near Candler Hospital had a stranger, also a woman, jump into her car Wednesday night and demand a ride home.

That stranger wasn't armed, but the driver, shaken up, drove where the woman asked, even stopping at McDonald's when that stranger said she was hungry.

When they got to Waters Avenue, the stranger said she was home and got out.

The driver pulled over and called police near the intersection of Abercorn and Gaston streets. They called out a forensics unit and dusted for prints but still aren't sure how to classify the incident on a police report.
