Buffalo soldiers continue support for 200 Club

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

The Savannah Chapter of National Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Clubs will present a check to the 200 Club of the Coastal Empire on Saturday.

The Savannah chapter is holding their eighth annual charity ride on Saturday. The ride begins at 10 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Express on Gateway Boulevard at Ga. 204 and Interstate 95 and ends at Johnson Square. The check will be presented to the 200 Club about 11:45 a.m. Riders pay $15 to participate.

The 200 Club provides immediate financial assistance to the surviving spouse and children of local law enforcement officers and firefighters who lose their lives in the line of duty.

Buffalo Soldiers are a non-profit, family-oriented motorcycle club whose members include active and retired military members, law enforcement and other professional affiliations dedicated to motorcycling. Officers of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Dept. are among its members.
